A femle corp member (name withheld) serving in Akwa Ibon was gang-raped by two men, Ofonime Essien and Frank Okon after she went to charge her phone in their house.
The victim whose Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) is in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom reported the incident to the police leading to the arrest of the suspects.
According to the Police commander in charge,
All the suspects have confessed to the crime and will be immediately arraigned in court. He warned perpetrators of the act to desist forthwith or face arrest and prosecution by the police.
