Senator Ireti Kingibe, who represents the FCT has stated that the residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will show the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike in the forthcoming local government (LG) elections that he is not liked at all.
In an interview with Channels TV, Kingibe claimed that Wike is not meeting the needs of the people and does not comprehend them. According to her, the elections will demonstrate the unity of FCT residents in their animosity toward Wike.
“Local government elections is coming early next year. That is when the people of the FCT show Ministers ‘we like you or we do not like you’.
“The local government elections is going to tell whether Wike controls FCT because nobody does. It is only people who have lived here for a long time know that the people of the FCT have their independent mind and it is the people who have lived here would know that the one thing that unites us in the FCT is our resentment of the Minister. It is not just about development, It is about treating us with disregard and contempt”
