The Imo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by Macdonald Ebere has released the full list of House of Assembly candidates that have emerged.
The list released by the State Publicity Secretary, Cajetan Duke shows that Speaker Kennedy Ibe, Deputy Speaker, Amara Iwuanyanwu and Majority Leader, Kanayo Onyemachi, won their return tickets.
However, about nine members of the House, two former Speakers Chiji Collins and Paul Emeziem however lost return tickets at the just-concluded party primaries.
Also, Uche Ogbuagu (Ikeduru) will not return to the Assembly as he sought for the Reps ticket of the party for Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency which Akarachi Amadi, the son of business mogul, Prince Charles Amadi, won.
Other members of the Assembly, who vied for House of Reps ticket of the APC but crashed out at the primary are: Uju Onwudiwe (Njaba); Ngozi Obiefule (Isu); Arthur Egwim(Ideato North); Michael Crown Njoku (Ihitte Uboma) and Blyden Amajirionwu (Ngor
Okpala).
Onwudiwe, a two-term member was said to have stepped down for Harrison Nwadike, while Amajirionwu, who was newly elected to the House lost to Ifeanyi Akwiti.
Also, Hon Crown Njoku crumbled in his quest to represent Obowo, Ihitte Uboma and Ehime Mbano Federal Constituency.
