German Chancellor, Angela Merkel has projected that COVID-19 pandemic is not yet at its final phase but still at the beginning.
Germany has 150,666 confirmed cases of Coronivirus, 5,315 deaths. The country has only 42,051 active cases as 103,300 have fully recovered and are discharged.
While speaking to Bundestag lower house of parliament recently, Merkel said “We are not living in the final phase of the pandemic, but still at the beginning.”
“We have won time,” Merkel said, adding that this had been used well to bolster Germany’s healthcare system.
