Arsenal Women who have been impressive this season suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat in the UEFA Women’s Champions League as Hoffenheim Women cruised over them on Wednesday night.
Although the Gooners eventually qualified for the Quarter-finals, the defeat was a huge blow to the team considering that they have remained undefeated this season in the English Women’s Super League after playing nine games, winning eight and recording a draw in one.
Arsenal joined Barcelona, Lyon, Bayern, Real Madrid and PSG who have all qualified for the knockout stage.
