Edet Okon Asim, the Special Adviser on Biodiversity to Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State, is dead.
Asim allegedly slumped and died in his car at Eta Agbor in Calabar on Tuesday evening.
Though the cause of the death of the former Commissioner for Information could not be immediately ascertained, family sources said he was asthmatic.
His remains have been deposited in the morgue.
Asim was also former chairman of Calabar Municipal Council.
