Graphic photos from Amangwu Ohafia community of Ohafia local government area of Abia State have been shared online.
The Nation earlier reported that gunmen attacked the community on Tuesday night and killed the residents.
Many houses belonging to members of the community were also razed during the attack, forcing many to abandon their homes to seek refuge in nearby villages.
However, an IPOB supporter who shared photos from the scene on Twitter claimed that it was the Army who attacked the community, killed five persons and burned down the house.
This comes two weeks after gunmen killed several persons during an invasion of the Abia cattle market in Omumauzor in the Ukwa West local area of Abia State.
