Reports are going viral that Ramon Abbas popularly known as Hushpuppi has been from detention, based on information shared on the website of U.S Federal Bureau of Prisons.
The information posted on the website revealed that Hushpuppi was released since two days ago, on July 20.
The Dubai police had arrested Hushpuppi and alleged that he defrauded over 1, 926,400 victims of $435.6 million. He was subsequently extradited to U.S where he is facing trial.
Last week, a US judge, Jeffrey Gilbert, denied Hushpuppi bail on grounds of him being a flight risk.
But the information on the website of U.S Federal Bureau of Prisons shows that he was released on Monday.
This story is still developing as it is not clear yet the condition under which he (Abbas) was released. Perhaps, he was transferred to another prison as earlier reports had predicted.
