I didn’t venture into music for money, says Rema

Popular singer Divine Ikubor aka Rema has disclosed that “money” isn’t the reason he makes music.

He claims to be financially stable even before he got a deal with his record label.

Rema was signed by Jonzing World Record owned by D’prince and affiliated to Mavin Records. He was discovered through a freestyle he posted on social media.

In an interview with Korty EO, Rema said if he didn’t make it in the music industry, he would still be “hustling” and making money.

“If music didn’t work, I will still be pushing that p in the corner while hustling, you understand.

“Even at that point where I was doing freestyles, I didn’t really need to do a freestyle because I needed money. I had money. I was actually good,” he
said.

This talented music star has done several songs that are rich in melody and words. Some of his songs include:
“Calm down”, “Soundgasm”, “Ginger me”, “Bounce”, “Addicted”, and “Dumebi” which brought him to stardom.

He has released two beautiful abulm, Raves & Roses( 2022) and Rema Compilation (2020).

He has become one of the strong voices in Nigerians Music Industry that everyone wants to vibe to. P artist has won and received nominations from different award categories.

On 19 October 2019, He beat the likes of Zlatan, Fireboy DML, and Joeboy to win the Next Rated Award. He was nominated for BET’s Best International Act with Burna Boy and Wizkid.
