Senator Dino Melaye have warned Nigerian religious leaders against ignorantly misinforming Nigerians about the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According the for former Kogi West lawmaker, the second wave of the pandemic is real and killing faster than the first wave. He also revealed that about five people who were close to him have lost their lives in the space of one week due to the dreaded virus.
While speaking in a recent interview on Arise TV, Melaye said:
“I want to call on our religious leaders, Imams and pastors and bishops, who talk terrestrially about the absence of COVID-19. It is real. We must take caution. We must observe protocols.
“This week alone I have lost five people. Five people who are extremely close to me, including General Irefin”.
