Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere aligns with Sam/Jones to unseat Uzodinma

The lawmaker representing Ideato Federal Constituency, Hon. Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu popularly known as Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere has joined forces with the Sam/Jones campaign to unseat Governor Hope Uzodinma.

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Imo, Senator Samuel Anyanwu and members of his “Make Imo Safe Again” team were led by Chief Enyinnaya Igbokwe to the reconciliatory meeting with the Federal Lawmaker in Abuja.

It is reported that the meeting is part of efforts at building the required consensus among key political players in the State for the dethronement of Governor Uzodinma in the forthcoming November governorship election in Imo.

Ikenga Ugochinyere was at loggerheads with Sen. Anyanwu during the PDP primaries that saw him emerge the candidate of the party ahead of the February 2023 elections.

However, speaking on behalf of the group at the meeting in Abuja, Chief Igbokwe, expressed happiness with the ongoing efforts at rebuilding the Imo PDP and bringing notable Imo stakeholders on board to facilitate the victory of the party.

According to Igbokwe, “Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere is the strongest voice of the people in Imo State today, and it is heartening that he has finally joined forces with the only candidate with a clear roadmap to victory in the coming election. As the Messenger of the people, he is trusted by Imolites, and his buy-in to the Sam/Jones project is the biggest political coup of this political season and we are glad that it was pulled through.

“Uzodimma should start packing his luggage from Douglas House, because his time is up. With the full involvement of Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere in the PDP governorship campaign, it is obvious that the game is up for the strangers in our Government House. We shall take back what belongs to us, and send those who took over our States through Ben Johnson way, back to Festac Town.”
