… State Chairman solicits government’s support for the betterment of Imo People.
The Leadership of Imo Concerned Citizens Worldwide led by the group’s convener, Hon. Amadichi Divine Chike, on May 30 paid a courtesy visit to the PDP State party agent in the just concluded elections and governorship aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and former House of Representatives member for Owerri Federal Constituency Hon. Chief (Barr.) Uche Onyeagocha at his country home in Obinze, Owerri West LGA of Imo State.
Other members of the ICC team that made the trip to visit Hon. Chief (Barr.) Uche Onyeagocha were the Imo Concerned Citizen’s State Chairman, Hon. Roland Nnamdi Gabriel; The ICC Convener Germany, Engr. Maxwell Ekwonye and ICC Orlu Zonal Chairman, Engr. Gabriel Nwankwo.
Hon. Amadichi Divine Chike congratulated Hon. Chief (Barr.) Onyeagocha on the noble role he played towards the emergence of the New government of His Excellency Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, the 6th Executive Governor of Imo State and highlighted the Group’s plan of action for Imo State.
He urged the leader to ensure that the government liases with technocrats to ensure that Imo State takes its rightful place in the scheme of things in Nigeria.
On His Part, The State Chairman of Imo Concerned Citizens Hon. Roland Nnamdi Gabriel also appreciated Hon. Chief (Barr.) Uche Onyeagocha for the courage he showed during the collation of results to ensure that falsehood does not see the light of the day and pleaded that he continues on the same direction so that Imolites can truly start enjoying the Dividends of Democracy. He also solicited with the Leader to take the message of the group to the State government to ensure that the effects of the Leadership of the current administration will be felt at the grassroots.
Also Speaking at the event, The ICC Convener Germany, Engr. Maxwell Ekwonye informed the PDP Leader of the readiness of Imolites in Diaspora to liase with the current government by attracting foreign investments for the benefit and progress of the State.
The ICC team pledged their support to the New Administration to bring about the much needed development to uplift the living condition of Ndi-Imo, as we look forward for a better Imo where Due Process, Rule of Law and Good Governance are prioritised.
The PDP Leader thanked the ICC team for the visit and promised to support the group in any capacity.
He urged the group to set the standard for other Political Pressure groups in the State so that it can stand out as a beacon to reckon with.
