Officials of the Imo State on Saturday demolished parts of World Bank market in New Owerri and burnt goods belonging to traders who occupied the now demolished area.
The development left several traders mourning over the loss of their goods destroyed or burnt by officer of the state government.
Although, government officials claimed they gave the traders notice before carrying out the destruction, the traders said they were only given hours which was not enough to relocate their goods.
