Medical Students of IMSU protest over spending 11yrs in school, demand action from Imo Govt (Video)

The medical students of Imo State University are currently protesting the prolonged rift between the medical consultants of the Teaching Hospital and the Imo State Government, and the non payment of salaries of their lecturers, which have caused them to spend eleven years and counting, for a studies originally meant to last six years.

The students who were captured in a video as they matched to the office of the Chief Medical Director on Wednesday, are heard chanting songs of sorrow and mourning.

The students vowed to take their protest to office of Vice Chancellor as well as the office of Governor Hope Uzodinma in Owerri.

They are calling on the Imo state government to pay their lecturers and consultants so that academic and clinical activities can commence to enable them conclude their studies.
