N2 million ransom paid to release kidnapped Police inspector, two others

A police inspector identified as Sylve and two others, Mohammed A. Galadima and Nengbe Mundi, have regained freedom from their kidnappers after paying almost N2 million ramson.

The three victims were abducted from Rubochi community, Kuje, Abuja between Friday and Saturday last week.

The kidnapped inspector is said to be a younger brother to the former Chairman of Kuje Area Council.

In an interview with Daily Trust on Wednesday, an anonymous family member confirmed the release of the kidnapped inspector and two victims.

He said they were released at about 11 am after the kidnappers had collected a ransom of N1 million naira from the police inspector.

According to the source, the kidnappers collected N550,000 for the police inspector and N400,000 for the third victim, Nengba Mundi respectively.

He explained that the ransom was taken to the kidnappers at a forest in Ggowodi village in Toto local government council of Nasarawa state.

He also added that a N30,000 Glo recharge was purchased for the kidnappers, as well as one roll of cigarette and a carton of Boska tablet.
“All we can is to thank God that they are all back home safely, which I believed God have answered our prayers for seeing them back to reunite with their families” he said.
