Nigerian national arrested with drugs worth over N800m in South Africa

The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) Drug Unit has arrested a 36-year-old Nigerian national with drugs in Gauteng, South Africa.

The suspect was arrested during a drug bust on Friday, July 11, 2025. 

In a statement on Saturday, July 12, TMPD stated that the drugs have an estimated street value of R10,000. 

“On Friday, 11 July 2025, The TMPD Drug Unit members arrested a 36-year-old Nigerian national in Centurion for possession and dealing in drugs,” the statement read. 

“The suspect was found in possession of crystal meth and CAT with an estimated street value of R10,000.”
