This morning the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation released a tweet on its official Twitter handle, asking the public to ‘help… find six Nigerian nationals wanted for their involvement in business email compromise (BEC) schemes resulting in over $6 million in losses.”
But, it turned out that the Nigerians were not the only ones on the ‘wanted’ list. In fact, the wanted list on their website (See full List here) shows that there are a total of 79 cyber criminals. And Nigerians took to the comment section of the tweet to slam the US agency for leaving out 73 criminals from other nationalities that are obviously ‘white people’ and headlining only the 6 Nigerians who are the only black people on the list.
