Nyesom Wike appeals to Edo governor, Okpebholo, not to probe his predecessor, Obaseki’s gov’t

FCT Minister and former Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, has pleaded to the governor of Edo state, Monday Okpebholo, not to probe the government of his predecessor, Godwin Obaseki.

Report say that the former governor of the state and APC chieftain, Adams Oshiomole, asked Governor Okpebholo to begin the probe of Obaseki’s government. He made the call shortly after the Supreme Court upheld Okpebholo’s election.

Wike, who was in Edo state on Sunday, July 13, appealed to Okpebholo to jettison the plans for a probe and allow things to be. He however, advised  Okpebholo to start the probe the moment Obaseki begins to give him any trouble.
