Obinna Iyiegbu, popular socialite and businessman also known as Obi Cubana is reportedly still in custody because he is yet the meet conditions of his bail.
According to a close source, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday, is set to release Obi Cubana on administrative bail. But, he is still in custody waiting to meet the conditions attached to the bail.
“Yes, he has been granted bail but he is yet to meet the conditions for his release.” Vanguard quoted an EFCC official on Tuesday afternoon.
A top source explained that although the anti-graft agency plans to prosecute Cubana for sundry economic and financial offences, the trial would not commence any time soon.
The socialite was granted bail after spending Monday night in detention.
Meanwhile, Ebele Iyiegbu, Obi Cubana’s wife, took to her social media part to react to arrest of her husband, and show him support.
She wrote: ”He is a HARD WORKER. He is a LEADER… and He is GREAT!
