Late Prophet T.B Joshua will be laid to rest today, July 9, at the premises of his church, the Synagogue Church of All Nations SCOAN Lagos.
The funeral service of the clergyman who died on June 5 at the age of 57 is currently going at the church.
Many sympathisers defied the rain to get to the church for the service but were denied entry as only a few were allowed entry in compliance with COVID-19 protocol.
The wife and children of the late T.B Joshua alongside other personalities, including traditional rulers, Ondo Governor Rotimi Akeredolu; Lagos Commissioner for Home Affairs, Anofiu Elegushi attended to pay their last respects to the deceased.
Other guests at the Funeral service include Deputy governor of Ondo state Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Olori Naomi Ogunwusi, Dele Momodu and many others. President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Samuel Ayokunle sent in a representative while the chairman of CAN, Lagos state chapter, Rt. Rev. S.T.V Adegbite, is in attendance.
Security agencies including the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Corps (LSNSC), Lagos State Traffic Management (LASTMA), DSS were stationed at the main entrance of the church and barricaded the entry and exit points to control the overwhelming crowd.
