The Imo State governor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has sworn in the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Chief of Staff (CoS) at the Exco Chambers of the Government House, Owerri on Monday, June 3, 2019!
Hon Barr. Uche Onyeagucha was sworn in as the new Secretary to the State Government. The oath of office and oath of allegiance was administered by the Chief Judge of the state, Hon Justice Paschal Nnadi at Excecutive Chambers Government House Owerri.
In his remark, the Governor described the office of the Secretary to the State Government as the engine room of the Government. He expressed his confidence on the new SSG and charged him to strife to uphold the confidence reposed on him.
The Governor used the opportunity to extend a hand of fellowship to all Imolites and called the people to join hands in rebuilding the state. He reiterated that he shall not disappoint the people of the state who gave him their mandate.
Also, the Governor directed the Head of Service and Permanent Secretary Government House to ensure a proper handover to the new SSG and the Chief of Staff.
In his reaction, the new SSG who spoke in his dialect, thanked the Governor for the appointment and promised his unwavering support to the Governor.
Those present in the swearing-in exercise include , the Deputy Governor of the state, Hon Gerald Irona, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly Rt.Hon Chinedu Offor, the Chief Judge of the state,Hon Justice Paschal Nnadi, Head of Service, Chairman Imo state Council of NdiEze HRM Eze Samuel Ohiri, the state party chairman of PDP and other personalities.
