Police launch investigation into attack on House of Reps member’s home in Imo

The home land of the member Representing Orlu/Oru East/Orsu Federal Constituency of Imo State, Carnice Nwachukwu alias Omeogo has been destroyed by some criminals arsonist.

It was also gathered that the event took place on Thursday, some hours before the Two-day South East summit on economy and security held in Owerri, the state capital which has the five Governor’s in attendance.

An anonymous source mentioned that on arrival at the Federal lawmaker’s village at Abara on Amanator Okporo community in the Orlu Local Government Area of the State, the suspects set the house on fire.

It was also gathered that the said politician was absent when the arsonists struck as property worth millions of naira were lost in the attack.

Before setting the house ablaze, the attackers made away with some valuable items, made video footage of the compound and the domestic staffs and threatened to cause more havoc.

The Spokesperson for the Police in the state was later contacted, Henry Okoye, said the Police in the state are already on the master.
