Nigerians have been reacting to the video of Pastor David Ibiyeomie berating media personality and religious critic, Daddy Freeze.
Ibiyeomie in a viral video service warned Freeze not to ever insult Oyedepo or talk about him.
According to the Cleric, ‘he cannot be alive and watch someone insult his father, Oyedepo’.
He said in part: “I can’t be alive and you insult my father. The day Daddy Freeze insults Oyedepo I will deal with him and arrest him.”
Continuing, Ibiyeomie threatened to kill Freeze.
The cleric’s reaction comes after Freeze had earlier condemned Oyedepo for saying women must completely submit to their husbands as the only condition for good marriage.
Daddy Freeze in his reaction to the statement noted that Oyedepo’s advice is a misquote of the scriptures, adding that submission should come from both partners.
Pastor Ibiyeomie however took it upon himself to respond to Daddy Freeze’s stand, warning him not to talk about Oyedepo again or face the consequences.
Reacting to the entire saga, Ajuri Ngelale, the Senior Special Assistant To President Muhammadu Buhari on Public Affairs took to Twitter on Monday to condemn Pastor Ibiyeomie’s stand.
He said “Not The Way. This Speech Is Not What Faith Allows Or Encourages.”
