Nigerians woke up Saturday morning to the exciting news that Manchester United has completed a six-month loan transfer deal to bring Nigerian striker, Jude Odion Ighalo back to English Premier League.

Ighalo’s Chinese club, Shanghai Shenhua also included in the deal that Man Utd has an option to buy the player for a three-year deal at the end of the 2019/2020 Premier League season.

Speaking on the signing, Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, said: “Odion is an experienced player. He will come in and give us an option of a different type of centre-forward for the short spell he’s staying with us.

“A great lad and very professional, he will make the most of his time here.”

According to the UK Mirror, Ighalo will pocket £150,000-a-week for the remainder of this season.

Manchester United will also pay Shanghai Shenhua a £5million loan fee.
