A bride is currently trending on the internet after a video from her ‘digital’ wedding surfaced online.
The bride who didn’t want guests to spray physical cash at her wedding, came up with a unique paperless way to have them spray her money digitally. While dancing, she held up a card with a QR code.
The guests who wanted to spray money on her simply moved close and scanned the code with their mobile devices, then transferred the money they would have sprayed straight to her account.
The wedding reportedly took place in Benin, Edo state.
While, many are commending the initiative, saying it will remove abuse of currency from Nigerian parties, some say the celebrants me not get enough cash gifts on their wedding as some guests many not be willing do the transfer.
