See the message Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau sent to new service chiefs

Abubakar Shekau, the factional leader of Boko Haram, has released a new audio in which he addressed the newly appointed service chiefs.

In the audio, Shakau told the Security Chiefs that they cannot do better than their predecessors did in the fight against insurgency.

One by one, Shekau mentioned the names and the rolesof the new service chiefs and called them to repent because they can’t do anything to destroy his terror gang.

“Leo Irabor, the head of the military, you should have sympathy for yourself, repent and convert to Islam. There is nothing you can do,” Shekau said.

He said Maj-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru should not ”deceive” himself because he has a Muslim background.

“Even if you are Muslim but you conduct polytheistic practices, you are no longer a Muslim,” Shekau said.

According to HumAngle, a source familiar with the activities of Boko Haram said the group are likely to conduct major operations to send a message to the new service chiefs that they are ready to fight.

President Buhari, on Tuesday January 26, announced the appointment of new service chiefs. They are:

Major-General Leo Irabor – Chief of Defence Staff
Major-General Ibrahim Attahiru – Chief of Army Staff.
Rear Admiral A.Z. Gambo – Chief of Naval Staff,
