Supermodel Kate Moss auctions video of her sleeping naked in bed for £12,000

Supermodel Kate Moss has auctioned off a clip of her appearing naked in bed for an ‘art experiment’.

Lucky fans will be able to see her in bed, driving, and walking if they pay thousands for the artworks with the proceeds going to charity.

The 47-year-old is helping raise funds for the mental health charity Gurls Talk.

Sleep With Kate gained views online with auction bids of £11,000 coming in within the first few days last month. It features alongside Walk With Kate and Drive With Kate, other art experiments.

Those who shot the clips say they are “dedicated to exploring the idea of iconic within the realm of what is personal and what is public”.

Kate herself is excited about the auction and for raising money for charity.

She said: “Art for me has always been about the moment.

“Time is the thing that there is never enough of.

“And that waits for no one; I’m intrigued by who will want to own a moment of mine.

Sleep With Kate features her in bed and under the covers with her arms above her head.

The supermodel appears topless or nude and at one point, as she stirs while sleeping she exposes part of her breast.

The buyer receives a high-definition version of the clip if they’re the successful bidder.

The three artworks are being auctioned through NFTs (non-fungible tokens) a unit of data stored on a digital ledger, a blockchain, used to represent video, audio, and photo files.

Although there is a two-second clip online looping, the full footage will go to the winning bidder with an audio certification by Kate herself.

Kate added about the art project: “I was also drawn to the idea that this ownership can be used to help others in need hopefully gain more of it.

“I look forward to seeing this experiment through.”

Days after the Sleep With Kate went live, the auction was won by one lucky bidder for $17,536 (£12,373) who paid just over 5.1 Ethereum for the clip.

Walk with Kate was sold for 3 Ethereum on May 6 for $10,176 (£7,180) but the last Driving With Kate is still up for sale.
