The Rukpokwu area of Rivers State has been thrown into apprehension following the death of one Schoolboy Okechukwu, a commercial tricycle (Keke) driver who was shot dead by a police officer.
Eyewitness reports say the police officer had a confrontation while demanding that the keke driver gives N100 bride. It was thereafter that the police officer shot the driver, then ran away when he realized what he had done.
Meanwhile, the Keke drivers in the area have blocked the road and taken the body to the Rumokoro police station where they were also shot at by police officers who came out to disperse them.
