Nigerian journalist and missionary, Timothy Ofoegbu, has disagreed with Reverend Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, who said that spiritual husbands does not exist.
However, according to Mr Ofoegbu, there is an evil spirit tormenting single and married women. He claims this demon not only stops women from getting married but also wreck havocs in marriages.
He wrote;
“Father, with due respect I disagreed with you on the spiritual husband and wife. It seems you have not done enough research on demons and spiritual warfare. The name spiritual husband or wife may have been coined by some Africans just like they coined follow follow demons.”
“It has to be understood that they mean that there is an evil spirit tormenting single and married women. In the old Testament, some angels had sex with women. Are angels not spirit? Did those women see or feel them? We read in Tobit 3:8 ” Sarah had been married seven times, but the evil demon, Asmodeus, killed each husband before the marriage could be consummated.
