Bashir Ahmad, a Presidential aide to late former president Muhammadu Buhari, has laughed at former Labour party presidential candidate, Peter Obi’s capacity to fix Nigeria.
In his post Ahmad shared on his X handle on Monday night, August 4, he made reference to a certain individual who could not fix a dot in a circle after two terms as governor but wants to fix the whole circle in just one term.
According to him, the individual’s mentality is an insult to everyone’s collective memory.
He further stated that disagreeing with Peter Obi politically is not an attack on his person and his tribe.
His posts read:
“This individual, who couldn’t fix a dot within a circle after two full tenures, is now trying to convince us that he can fix the entire circle in just one. Isn’t that so insulting to our collective memory?
“Our brothers should understand that disagreeing with Mr. Peter Obi politically is not an attack on his person and certainly not on his tribe. Politics should never be seen as ethnic rivalry. We all know that PO is not the sole representative of his entire ethnic group. So, disagreeing with his political stance should not be translated as bigotry in any way.
“I recently met him, he is a good person and I genuinely respect him as a person. However, politically, we do not share the same views and directions and that should be perfectly okay and acceptable.”
