At least two women where killed by stray bullets at Nkwo Orji Market during the gun battle between Unknown Gunmen and Nigerian police officers today in Owerri, Imo State.
One of the women is said to be a popular Akara and Akamu (Pap) seller at the Nwor Orji Market junction. Her corpse was taken to her home and dropped in front of her locked house after she was confirmed dead.
The other woman was simply identified as Madam Georgy from Amankuta Mbieri, in Mbaitoli LGA.
