A 2019 Imo governorship candidate, Uche Nwosu recently met Nigerian football star, Kelechi Iheanacho in London to discuss possible partnership in establishing a football academy.
Speaking about their meeting on return to Nigieria, Mr Nwosu wrote:
“In my recent trip to London I met with one of our finest strikers, Kelechi Ihenacho, who plays for Leicester City Football Club in England.
“Our meeting centered on how he can give back to the Nigerian society by establishing a football academy in partnership with our organization, the Ugwumba Center for Leadership Development in Africa.I am excited about this development because the project is in line with our objectives of taking Nigerian youths out of the streets and making them useful to themselves and the society.
“You may recall that since 2014, Ugwumba Leadership Center has continuously been developing and implementing programs in various sectors of the economy that enable our youths actualize their God given potentials and the society.
“Once again, I want to use this opportunity to commend Kelechi Ihenacho for this laudable football initiative. To God Be the Glory!!”
