US Ambassador to Kenya bashed for taking pics with these Kenyan pupils, see why

The US Ambassador to Kenya, Kyle McCarter took to Twitter to share this photo of himself posing with these two Kenyan pupils. After sharing the photo, Kenyans started bashing him.

Here is why. The students are Kenyan Champions shortlisted for Chess Championship in the US. They came to the Embassy for visa applications but were denied. So, the US Ambassador felt taking pictures with them and giving them words of encouragement would be impressive. However, Kenyans were not having it.

Kenyans took to the comment section of the post to bash him for smiling with the kids after the embassy refused to approve their Visa application to attend the Championship in the US. They felt the diplomat had no right to show off the kids since the Embassy couldn’t allow them achieve their dream of being in the championship.

As they attacked him, he tried to respond to some. Read the altercation below.

McCarter shared the photo and wrote:

”In the visa line yesterday I met this fine young boy and girl. They are Kenya Chess Champions! Although a trip to the US was not possible this time I reminded them that They Are Champions & we are friends! This is the future of Kenya. #USAmarafiki”.
