Popular Nigerian activist and co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls campaign, Aisha Yesufu has slammed young Nigerians who refused to come out and participate in the protest going on today over fear of being killed or injured.
The RevelutionNow movement headed by Omoyele Sowore scheduled a mass protest today which they invited citizens to join in and demand for governance, end to incessant killings across the country and poverty caused by mismanagement and misappropriation of public funds by the political class.
As the protest kick off today, some Nigerians have taken to social media to voice their solidarity with the protesters. Others have also pointed out the danger of coming out to protest in Nigeria where there are records of security officers causing harm to protesters.
Taking to Twitter this morning, Aisha Yesufu slammed the youths for preferring to beg people for money for their basic needs, than to come out and demand for efficient leadership from leaders. Watch her video below.
