There was a heavy gun battle between operatives of Nigerian Army and unknown gunmen who stormed different locations in Owerrri on Monday night, April 26.
People who live or do business around Fire Service by Wetheral road as well as Douglas road, were thrown into panic for over an hour as soldiers engaged the attackers.
The popular Ama Awusa area around Douglas road was the worse hit with casualties emerging from the scene.
