Popular Nollywood actor cum politician, Yul Edochie has sought to know the alternative Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Lagos State Government has provided for motorcycle and tricycle riders whose jobs have been taken away following Okada ban in certain routes in Lagos.
Lagos State Government on Monday January 27, proscribed the operations of motorcycle and tricycle riders in six local governments and nine local council development areas of the state. They were also banned from plying 10 major highways and 40 bridges and flyovers across the state.
According to Edochie, banning okada riders without alternative source of livelihood for them is a dangerous move.
He wrote on his twitter handle: “Dear Lagos State Government, as you ban Okada, have you made arrangements for an alternative source of livelihood for Okada riders?
“An angry and idle mind they say is the devil’s workshop.”
