Breaking: Imo Govt officials attack staff, seals Reach FM Owerri belonging to Okorocha’s daughter, Uloma (Videos)

Officials of the Imo state government on Friday stormed the premises of Reach FM in Owerri and sealed off the building.

Reach FM is an Imo-based radio station owned by Uloma Rochas Nwosu, daughter of former Imo State governor, now Imo West senator, Rochas Okorocha.

The Government officials who came from Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) arrived the building and reportedly told the staff of the radio station to vacate the building that they had come to seal off the building which is said to be about 30 years old. The government officials also reportedly told the staff that the radio station which has been in operation since 2018 has no approval to operate.

Staff of Reach FM accused the Government officials of vandalizing the station and attacking them.

This is not the first time Imo Government officials have visited the station.

In February this year, the fence securing The Reach FM was demolished by officials of the State Government. Read More Here. While giving reason for the action, a top official of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) stated that the fence of the radio station was “blocking an access road”. That incident took place two days after Okorocha was arrested for forcefully entering his wife’s Royal Spring Palm Estate which was sealed by the state government.
