Uche Nwosu meets, raises N1m for viral physically challenged water seller, Mary Daniel (Photos)

Uche Nwosu, a former Chief of Staff to Imo State Government and President Ugwumba Centre for Leadership Development in Africa, has met the physically challenged bottle water seller, Mary Daniel who recently went viral after photos of her surfaced online.

Mary’s photos which showed her hawking bottled water in Lagos State despite being an amputee, moved many, including Uche Nwosu who thereafter sought to meet her and offer her assistance.

According to Darlington Ibekwe, one of Uche Nwosu’s loyalists, Nwosu flew to Lagos immediately after he got information about Mary. He had a breakfast meeting with her at Lagos Island on Sunday morning, April 11.

During their conversation, the 26-year-old Mary said she would love to setup a provision store to carter for herself, 2-year-old daughter and aged mother.

Mr Nwosu led his friends to raise one million naira (N1,000,000.00) to enable her setup a provision store. He also called on Nigerians to support her and others who are facing challenges. He appreciated those who released Mary’s pictures which helped the world to see and come to her aid.

Ms Mary Daniel is from Anyigba Local Government Area in Kogi State. she had an accident while she was 11 years old which led to the amputation of her right leg.
