Youth Assembly of Nigeria set to have 2019 National Convention in August

As the four-year term of the current 2nd republic of YAN led by the National Speaker, Rt. Hon. Samuel God’stime Chukwubuikem is coming to an end in few months time, YAN national convention has been slated to hold in the month of August, 2019.

Speaking in Abuja, Hon. Godstime said the convention will be a 3 day event starting with a national youth summit on the first day to mark the International World Youths Day.

Election of national officers of YAN will take place on the second day while a press conference to close the convention will take place on the 3rd day.

God’stime further stated that the national speakership position has been zoned to the North while the national deputy speakership and Majority leader positions are zoned to the south with the 774 LGA co-ordinators of YAN as electorates.

YAN is one of the member organisations of the young parliamentary forum that joined in the sponsoring of the Not Too Young Run Bill at the National Assembly amongst other laudable achievements.

God’stime told newsmen that he is hopeful that the new leadership of YAN after him will do better than him.
